Plugin License
This license covers plugins published by Dragon Refuge. The terms sold with a paid plugin build on top of it.
Free Plugins
Free Dragon Refuge plugins may be used and modified in personal and educational projects at no cost. Credit “Dragon Refuge” in your project’s credits.
Commercial use requires the commercial license below. A project is commercial when it earns money in any form: sales, ads, crowdfunding, or paid access.
The Commercial License
One commercial license covers commercial use of every free Dragon Refuge plugin, including ones released later. It is non-transferable, for one developer or studio, in any number of projects.
A license covers projects owned by the licensee. For client or commissioned work, the license belongs with the project’s owner, not the contractor.
It comes with any paid plugin, or can be purchased on its own.
Paid Plugins
Each paid plugin comes with its own license for commercial use of that plugin, and includes the commercial license above.
Paid plugins may be modified for your own project. They may not be redistributed, resold, or repackaged, modified or not.
Redistributing Free Plugins
Free plugins may be shared and redistributed, including modified versions, under two conditions: no charge of any kind, and a modified version must be clearly marked as modified, with a pointer to the official version.
A redistributed copy stays under this license. Using it commercially still requires the commercial license.
The official versions live on dragonrefuge.itch.io. Support and updates cover copies obtained there.
